This past weekend we were showing Last Bullet at the wonderful film festival in Macon. It was my first venture into this world. And, wow, was it fun. Diane came down for a couple of days to share the fun. To start off the weekend, Jason and I showed our movie at Reynolds Plantation. The folks there were so nice and we had over 100 people show up for the screening. And the wine store owner treated us after the movie to some of his great wine. Major fun. Then we drove the next morning to Macon. It was three days of watching movies, meeting great people, going to after-parties and strolling through downtown Macon. Our movie played at the Douglass Theatre, a vintage theatre that has hosted Duke Ellington, Little Richard, Otis Redding and James Brown to name a few. It was so exciting to see our creation on the big screen. And, we got to meet the wonderful Karen Black and Carrie Preston as well. Karen Black was in Easy Rider and Five Easy Pieces along with many more famous movies. She could not have been more gracious. Ms. Preston is on the HBO series True Blood and she was equally nice. Overall, it was a stunning and exciting weekend.
