Christmas in Florida

Here are some pix from my trip to FL.          The old shack is at Cedar Key. The one of me is at Spanish Point near Sarasota. And the coolest one is the bird that caught a seagull right beside me and ate it as people strolled by. What makes it so nifty is that the bird is a Peregrine Falcon, quite a rare bird. It didnt make a sound as it dropped from the sky. It was like a National Geographic show.  Many folks had their heads down looking for shark teeth and never saw the trauma two steps away.    The wall is a mural in Brooksville depicting the Civil War battle nearby.

Bailouts and spinouts

I just thought it was very interesting how Congress worked quickly when banks, etc. were floudering but they are hesitant when it comes to the auto industry. Not that I am in favor of saving the outdated methods of Detroit but out of the two entities worthy of saving, I wonder which one Senators affected their own pockets more. Just like the identity fraud issue and many others, Congress only gets jazzed about an issue when it bites them. Then, suddenly, they are so concerned for the welfare of regular folks. Whatever.

Blue Ridge, Tin Roof Films shows Last Bullet

Last Tuesday, Diane, Jason and I went to Blue Ridge for our first showing of the short film we created, Last Bullet. The reception was wonderful and emotional. We cannot thank the town enough for their support of our work. Pictures are of Diane next to the train that goes on a two hour tour of the mountains, Jason and Diane on a bridge in Copperhill, Tenn. This is where they filmed October Sky. And one picture in which the message  is obvious.
